I am a Liberian-born scholar, development practitioner, and Africanist whose work lives between multiple worlds. My practice is shaped by movement between continents, disciplines, and ways of knowing.

BETWEEN WORLDS

My path has been anything but linear. I have worked in higher education, development, community organizing and culture. My work has been guided by research, lived experiences, community conversations, and a deep desire to understand how power, identity, and representation shape lived realities. Whether in academic spaces, field settings, or digital platforms, I bring my full self: analytical, grounded, questioning, and connected to home.

My thinking is shaped by the radical idea that Africa should speak for herself. Everything I build, write or share is in service of Africa and her people.

I may move between worlds, but I am anchored in Africa. I want my life’s work to speak to uplifting African people, preserving African stories, and centering African culture.

I currently teach in international relations, work in international development, and host community events centering on showcasing Africa away from Western perspective.  I hope my work honors people’s stories, challenges inherited narratives, and makes room for nuance.
