As a development practioner, my work is with the Center for Integrated Solutions - CIS. At CIS, I work as the Chief Program Officer offering research and evidence-based solutions to local challenges. My work spans from support with program development, training , capacity building, scaling, and ongoing innovation, including troubleshooting programmatic issues and staying updated with best practices in Education, Public health and Governance. We are in the process of developing the CIS development forum where we can engage with stakeholders in the development space on enhancing the role of partnerships in Liberia’s development and fostering opportunities that are locally-led.
Using cultural wisdom and health equity research to conduct a mixed-method evaluation of Black maternal health in the U.S.
Collaborated with physicians, midwives, doulas, birth justice activists, and community organizers to frame maternal health with the social determinants of health and a social-ecological lens
In collaboration with students from Makerere University Uganda, created a place-based community health action research centered on maternal health and African birth practices
Organizing and hosting workshops on refugee education and understanding displacement on a global scale. Data and research collected informed collaborations with community partners.
Edited and produced the Center's inaugural displacement magazine, Roots and Resettlement
Working on an interdisciplinary team to teach, research, and inform decision-making for sustainable and equitable solutions to forced migration locally and globally
Exploring how the memorialization stories of enslaved Africans are told in public spaces
Awarded Juneteenth scholarship for field visit to Charleston, South Carolina
